Applications are invited for the above-mentioned position to be based in the PP&L Department, Adam Tas in Stellenbosch. The successful candidate will report to the Master Planner.
Key performance areas include (but are not limited to):
- Analyse sales volume forecasts, demand- & stock levels.
- Computing and planning bottling requirements.
- Scheduling production lines regarding capacities to meet required stock levels.
- Liaising with applicable supporting departments.
- Confirming requirements and coordinating actual bottling to plans.
- Performing related administration.
- Performing stand-in duties when required.
- Actively participating in Mini-Business (MDWT) activities.
- Ensure superior service levels (i.e. stock availability) to meet local and export demand.
- Optimise stock levels, production capacity utilization and reporting functions.
- Interact with relevant stakeholders and attend cross-functional meetings.
- Assist with bulk scheduling when needed.
- Assist with the site’s product change control (i.e. product upgrades and new products);
- Assist with compilation of production volume budgets/forecasts.
- Assist with timeous BOM and Master Data Update
The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:
- National Diploma / NQF 6 in Supply Chain & Operations Management
- 1-3 yrs working in a planning environment
- Competent in the use of the Microsoft Office package (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook)
- Fully competent in using production scheduling tools on an ERP suite.
- Competence in the use of SAP
- Ability to analyse, interpret and compute sets of data.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks in an organized and structured manner.
- Sound interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to cope with the inherent physical demands of the position.
- Ability and willingness to work extended hours when required.
- You must have reliable transport to and from work.
