Job Title: Purchasing Administrator

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Administer and engage in negotiations with suppliers to optimize costs, terms, services, delivery requirements, and flexibility strategies.
· Implement and maintain contract agreements, incorporating terms and conditions, to secure competitive prices, guarantee punctual delivery, and negotiate favourable payment terms.
· Conduct market research to stay abreast of industry trends and integrate market intelligence into sourcing and supplier negotiations.
· Address 1st-level escalations for supplier compliance concerns, including delivery, quality, and communication issues.
· Regularly communicate supplier evaluations to ensure effective resolution of concerns and acknowledgment of positive performance
· Drive continuous improvement across relevant supplier metrics
· Propose and implement enhancements for procurement activities
· Assist internal stakeholders in meeting requirements promptly and adding value-added services.
· Support proposals and special projects as directed by management
· Obtain management approval for all purchases before processing.
· Ensure accurate data entry into the Purchasing System as necessary.
· Maintain departmental files and catalog library
· Handle comprehensive administrative tasks within the department
· Fulfil ad hoc tasks assigned by the department head.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· Must have Grade 12 and relevant qualification
· 2-3 years of Administrative role and Purchasing experience is essential
· Automotive Manufacturing Industry working experience, preferably in a similar role
· Proficient Computer literacy (MS Office, Excel graphs, PowerPoint)
· Well-developed communication skills
