Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead the QC inspection team in the warehouse, ensuring timely and accurate inspection of finished upholstery products.
- Implement and enforce company quality standards, procedures and checklists.
- Conduct regular product audits
- Investigate quality issues and analyze root causes
- Coordinate with production, warehousing and customer service teams to resolve quality concerns and ensure customer satisfaction
- Maintain detailed inspection records and quality reports
- Reporting of feedback to management and production departments.
- Train and mentor QC inspectors by promoting awareness of quality standards and procedures
- Ensure health and safety compliance
- Participate in incoming material inspections and verify conformance to specifications
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and quality system audits
Experience and Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12) Minimum
- Technical diploma in furniture manufacturing or quality management
- 3-5 years’ experience in QC role within furniture or upholstery manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of upholstered furniture construction, materials and common defects
- Familiarity with quality standards, inspection techniques and measurement tools
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Proficient in MS office (Excel/Word)
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
