The Regional Operations Manager will oversee and support a portfolio of assigned Hotels and Lodges within Newmark. The role focuses on driving group strategies, ensuring operational excellence, and supporting General Managers and their teams in delivering consistent guest experience and financial performance.
Minimum Requirements
- Strong multi-property operational management experience within the hospitality industry.
- Strategic thinker with proven ability to drive results across diverse teams and properties.
- Excellent knowledge of hospitality operations, systems, and industry trends.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills to influence and support property GMs.
- Data-driven, analytical, and highly organised.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to travel frequently.
- Opera and Micros experience required.
Duties and Responsibilities
Budgeting & Financial Management
- Partner with GMs and leadership teams to ensure effective expense management and budgetary control.
- Drive revenue and RevPAR goals through regional marketing, sales, and revenue initiatives.
- Monitor property financial performance and recommend corrective actions where needed.
Operational Effectiveness
- Conduct regular regional audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and guest experience expectations.
- Oversee implementation and ongoing improvement of SOPs across properties.
- Ensure stock, procurement, and cost control processes are effective and aligned with group standards.
Culture Building & Talent Management
- Partner with HR to drive leadership development and succession planning across the region.
- Support GMs in recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies to build high-performing teams.
- Champion a guest-focused, service-driven culture across all properties.
New Projects & Regional Growth
- Assist with planning and execution of pre-openings and new property integrations in the region.
- Coordinate procurement, systems training, and operational readiness for new projects.
- Support regional expansion by implementing best practice operational structures.
