The SAP Workflow Consultant is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SAP Business Workflows to automate and streamline business processes. This role involves close collaboration with functional teams, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure efficient workflow integration across SAP modules.
Workflow Design & Development:
Design, develop, and maintain SAP Business Workflows using tools like Workflow Builder, Business Object Builder, and Universal Worklist (UWL). Develop custom workflows for SAP modules such as MM, SD, FI, HR, and SRM. Integrate workflows with ABAP Web Dynpro applications and Fiori apps. Technical Development:
Write and debug ABAP code to support workflow logic and enhancements. Develop RICEF (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms) objects related to workflows. Implement OSS notes and troubleshoot workflow-related issues. Process Optimization:
Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for automation using SAP Workflow. Collaborate with business analysts and process owners to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Testing & Documentation:
Conduct unit and integration testing of workflows. Document workflow designs, technical specifications, and user guides. Support & Maintenance:
Provide ongoing support for existing workflows. Monitor workflow performance and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. 3+ years of experience in SAP Workflow development and support. Strong ABAP programming skills. Experience with SAP S/4HANA and Fiori is a plus.
Proficiency in SAP Workflow tools and ABAP development. Strong understanding of SAP business processes and integration points. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and documentation abilities. Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
