These individuals analyse client needs, implement software solutions, and provide training and support for seamless integration and utilisation of business applications, enabling clients to achieve their strategic objectives.As a Guidewire business lead at PwC, you will focus on guiding and leading the business aspects of Guidewire implementations within an insurance organisation. You will be responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, coordination, and execution of Guidewire projects to enable successful outcomes.

We have a number of exciting opportunities across a range of roles and disciplines to join our expanding Insurance Tech team. As an Insurance Technology Business Analyst, you will be responsible for participating in business requirements review meetings and working with the Product Owner to ensure that requirements for InsureTech projects are captured as user stories that are prioritized and in a ready state. Ready means that stories must be immediately actionable. The development team must be able to determine what needs to be done and the amount of work required to complete the story.
Responsibilities:
- Bridge the gap between the business and technical teams by working closely with the Product Owner to define and communicate the vision and scope for the product or project.
- Work with the Product Owner to stock the product or project backlog to ensure that it represents the overall scope of the project.
- Work with the Product Owner on a continuous basis to refine the backlog by organizing/prioritizing stories, splitting epics into stories that can be delivered within a sprint, and by getting selected stories into a ready state by capturing detailed user requirements before sprint planning.
- Participate in quality assurance activities, including working with the Test Analyst to establish proper test coverage and traceability to requirements, and with the Product Owner to demonstrate developed functionality, and assist with user acceptance testing.
- Work with the Test Analyst to assist and monitor User Acceptance Testing.
- Participate in daily standup meetings, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Participate in POC to support new opportunities.
- Guide and mentor junior Business Analysts.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in business analysis, with a strong focus on the insurance industry.
- Extensive experience with core insurance platforms such as Guidewire InsuranceSuite, Duck Creek Technologies, Sapiens, tia, BriteCore, EIS Group, Insurity, OneShield, Majesco, and FINEOS.
- Experience in writing business requirements and user stories.
- Experience with test methodologies and assisting the Test Analyst in ensuring that delivery meets business requirements.
- Experience in Requirement and Ticket Management tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Knowledge of the AGILE methodology/Scaled Agile Framework, SDLC processes is essential.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
