Job Description
-Number of positions: 1
Location of positions: Mototolo Concentrator
This role will provide technical support to the Manager Production Operations to optimise and continually improve the technical operation of all process operations with a 3–5 year timeframe.
Responsibilities:
- Assist operations personnel to implement agreed guidelines, rules and recipe for the processing plants
- Audit compliance to “recipe” and liaise with plant personnel
- Provide/liaise with external resources to conduct agreed plant surveys/audit processes
- Manage metallurgical talent assigned to technical function in processing area
- Recommend technical corrective action to operation’s production personnel
- Monitor, Trend, Interpret, and Report plant Key Process Parameters for discussion with central technical structure
- Processing test work on the plants
- Ongoing support to plant production team to achieve operational goals
- Facilitate technology transfer from centre
- Project execution of agreed audit work & plant surveys (plant diagnostics)
- Provide detailed analyses of process control/plant performance relationships
This role is at a Band 6 level reporting to the Manager Concentrator.
- -Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or chemistry degree/diploma
Experience
- At least 7-10 years post qualification plant experience in metallurgy development projects and supervisory/ management experience.
Knowledge and Skills
- Computer literacy for the role
- Valid driving license code 08
