Requirements

• A relevant three-year tertiary qualification, preferable a

B-degree in Information Systems or Computer Science

• Minimum of five (5) to eight (8) years’ relevant experience

required

• Standby on a roster to be performed
• Veritas Netbackup experience would be advantageous
• Valid driver’s licence.

Key Performance Areas

• Identify short, medium, and long-term objectives and plans

for the enhancement of the backup and recovery solutions

by keeping abreast of technological developments

• Direct and control outcomes associated with utilisation,

productivity, and performance of personnel in the backup

and recovery team

• Implement procedures, systems, and controls to regulate

specific work and associated sequences associated with

the functionality

• Manage the data protection of the SAP, Microsoft systems

and Linux environments

• Manage the data protection of SAP and Microsoft SAAS

solutions

• Manage data protection infrastructure including specialist

data protection appliances, long term retention appliances

and tape libraries

• Participate in projects through the life-cycle
• Optimisation of people skills and resources.
• Manage the formulation of contract and tender documents

and controls contractual obligations.
