About the Role
We’re hiring a Social Video Editor to produce high-volume, short-form video content optimized for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other social platforms for one of our clients with millions of followers on their social channels. You’ll be responsible for turning raw assets into scroll-stopping, high-retention content that aligns with brand voice, leverages pop culture cues, and drives measurable performance.
This role is ideal for someone who’s fast, detail-oriented, culturally fluent, and passionate about social-first storytelling. You’ll balance creativity with efficiency, managing multiple edits per week while staying ahead of platform trends and performance insights.
What You’ll Do
- Edit and deliver 5–7+ short-form videos weekly across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
- Cut videos with platform-specific optimizations, ensuring strong hooks, pacing, and retention
- Create and optimize thumbnails and imagery to maximize click-through and engagement
- Add light motion graphics, titling, and overlays that align with brand identity
- Incorporate trending pop culture references, memes, and entertainment cues when appropriate
- Source and clear images, clips, and background media for use in edits
- Balance evergreen content with reactive, trend-driven edits
- Edit with performance in mind — optimizing for watch time, shares, and saves
- Collaborate with creative leads and brand managers to align on direction and strategy
- Work quickly and iteratively, responding to feedback from internal teams and brand partners
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years editing for social-first brands, creators, or media outlets
- Strong portfolio of high-performing content on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube (have some examples of viral content – 200,000+ views)
- Mastery of Adobe Premiere Pro, Capcut, (or equivalent), Photoshop, and After Effects (or Canva motion tools where relevant)
- Highly collaborative while showcasing the ability to take ownership and not wait to be told what to do
- Proven ability to deliver edits at speed while maintaining creative flair and brand alignment
- Deep understanding of social trends, hooks, and platform best practices
- Experience developing influencer/first person creator content
- Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple edits on tight timelines
- Strong communicator with the ability to incorporate feedback quickly
- Willingness to work at least 4–5 hours overlapping with U.S. Eastern Time
