· Responsible for preparing parts, sanding and assemblies for painting of truck trailers
· Mix paint and other materials according to specification or formula
· Ensure facility and spray-painting equipment are in good working condition
· Responsible for the identification and separation of non-conforming parts or materials and report them to supervisors
· Utilize spray gun and apply paint in conformance with all specifications
· Employ heat or oven paint drying techniques for special purpose finishes.
· Scrutinize and measure parts to maintain statistical process control charts.
· Monitor machine gauges and equipment operation to discover defects/deviations from standards and make necessary adjustments.
· Utilize solvents, wire brushes, and cloths for cleaning sprayers and power equipment.
· Follow company requirements to select paint, and match colors of paint following specified color charts.
· Responsible for material and minor maintenance.
Requirements:
Spray-painting certificate or qualification.
Trailer technician by knowledge and experience with at least 3-years’ experience.
Focus on details and quality of work on trailers.
