Operational and Technical Results:
- To complete production planning by developing and aligning operational plans with site priorities, coordinating with relevant departments and personnel, establishing and implementing production schedules, and managing the ordering, transportation, storage, and distribution of materials as required.
- To supervise the maintenance and availability of products and equipment by maintaining an accurate inventory, coordinating the procurement of new and replacement equipment and parts, implementing a tracking system for equipment location, usage, and condition, and developing a preventative maintenance and testing schedule to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- To mitigate potential explosive-related incidents and ensure rapid resolution by facilitating investigation and response schedules, initiating emergency response procedures, coordinating communication with relevant stakeholders, and reporting on incidents and their resolutions as needed.
- To optimize customer outcomes by achieving targeted face advancement through the development of detailed blasting plans in coordination with engineers and geologists, and by creating schedules.
Qualifications:
- Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in mining engineering, or a related field (advantageous)
- Blasting certificate underground
- Code 08 C1 driver’s license
Experience:
- 3 years’ Supervisory experience
- 5 years’ underground mining/explosives industry experience
- 5 Years computer skills
- Experience in managing of people
