Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming mechanical and irrigation supplies.
- Issue parts and tools to workshop and field staff as per request or job card.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of all stock using a manual or computerised system.
- Monitor stock levels and notify the manager of low levels or reorder needs.
- Organise storage of parts and materials in an orderly, accessible layout.
- Conduct regular stock counts and participate in audits.
- Liaise with suppliers and delivery personnel to ensure correct and timely stock delivery.
- Ensure the security and cleanliness of the storeroom and outside storage areas.
- Assist in identifying slow-moving or obsolete stock items.
- Maintain records of tools and equipment issued for irrigation and mechanical work.
- Support emergency repair requests by providing fast and accurate access to parts.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- At least 2 years’ experience in a workshop environment
- Knowledge of mechanical and irrigation parts (pipes, pumps, valves)
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Computer literate
- Honest, reliable and detail-oriented
- Own transport and valid driver’s license.
