Duties/Pligte Algemene administratiewe take ter ondersteuning van die Direkteur: Navorsingskontrakte en die Regsadviseurs.
Die take sal insluit (maar is nie noodwendig beperk tot):


  • Eerste vlak deurgaan van navorsings- en navorsingsverwante kontrakte (onder andere nagaan vir volledigheid in oorleg met n kontrolelys);
  • Koördinering van die werksvloei in die navorsingskontrakkantoor;
  • Skakeling met verskeie steunafdelings binne die US, asook met navorsers en buite instansies;
  • Data vaslegging op die kontrak databasis, wat onder andere kontrakregistrasie insluit;
  • Opvolg van onafgehandelde kontrakaangeleenthede namens die regsadviseurs;
  • Instandhouding van die Delegasie-register;
  • Hantering van telefoniese en e-pos navrae;
  • Algemene administratiewe take soos liassering, koerier, foto-kopieërwerk, ens.

General administrative duties in support of the Director: Research Contracts and Legal Advisors
The tasks will include (but are not necessarily limited to):

  • First-level review of research and research-related contracts (such as checking for completeness in accordance with a checklist);
  • Coordinating the workflow in the research contracts office;
  • Liaising with different support divisions within SU and external institutions;
  • Data capturing on the contract database, which includes contract registration;
  • Following up on outstanding contractual matters on behalf of the legal advisors;
  • Maintaining the delegation register;
  • Handling telephonic and e-mail enquiries;
  • General administrative tasks, e.g. filing, courier, copying, etc.

Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes
  • 'n Toepaslike tersiêre kwalifikasie gelykstaande aan NQF vlak 5;
  • Minstens twee jaar se toepaslike werkservaring;
  • Rekenaarvaardigheid in MS Office - Word, Excel, Outlook;
  • Die vermoë om effektief onder druk te kan funksioneer;
  • Inisiatief, akuuraatheid, effektiwiteit en goeie organisasie vaardighede;
  • Die vermoë om onafhanklik asook as deel van `n span te kan werk;
  • Goeie interpersoonlike en kommunikasievaardighede, insluitend kommunikasie met US personeel en buite instansies;
  • Goeie skryf- en taalvaardighede in Engels.

  • A relevant tertiary qualification equal to NQF level 5;
  • At least two years relevant work experience;
  • Computer literacy in MS Office - Word, Excel, Outlook;
  • The ability to effectively function under pressure;
  • Initiative, accuracy, effectiveness and good organisational skills;
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, including communication with SU personnel and external organisations;
  • Good writing and language skills in English.

Recommendation/Aanbeveling
  • Vorige ervaring in n soortgelyke (Hoër Onderwys) omgewing;
  • Goeie skryf- en taalvaardighede in Afrikaans;
  • Vorige ervaring in n kontrakbestuursomgewing.

  • Previous experience in a similar (Higher Education) environment;
  • Good writing and language skills in Afrikaans;
  • Previous experience in a contract management environment.
