The Opportunity:
We’re looking for a driven Account Manager to lead sales efforts for our chromatography workflow products—especially HPLC and GC columns—across South Africa and selected export territories. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in technical sales, understands analytical chemistry applications, and has experience engaging both local and international customers.
You’ll be responsible for identifying new opportunities, nurturing relationships with key accounts, and expanding our footprint in chromatography consumables. A strong understanding of customer workflows and the ability to translate technical features into practical solutions is key.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field.
2–5 years of experience in technical sales, specifically selling chromatography consumables (HPLC/GC columns) or related equipment.
Exposure to export sales and international customer engagement is a strong advantage.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
Willingness to travel across South Africa and selected export regions.
How You'll Thrive and Create Impact
Achieve annual sales targets for HPLC and GC columns within your territory.
Manage and grow export sales in neighbouring regions, including distributor support and international account development.
dentify and sell into new and existing applications for chromatography products across pharmaceutical, environmental, food, and academic sectors.
Develop and maintain a territory sales plan focused on strategic accounts and growth initiatives (seminars, product shows, targeted campaigns).
Profile and penetrate key accounts by understanding organizational structure, decision-makers, and analytical needs.
Demonstrate product capabilities and provide technical guidance to customers.
Collaborate with internal teams—applications engineers, channel partners, inside sales, and customer service—to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Create awareness and demand for chromatography consumables through proactive outreach and solution-based selling.
Deliver consistent revenue growth by aligning customer needs with chromatography solutions.
Build long-term relationships with key accounts and distributors.
Stay ahead of market trends and customer applications to position our products effectively.
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and technical seminars.
