We are seeking a skilled and experienced Back of House Kitchen Manager to lead our kitchen operations. This leadership role ensures our team delivers consistent food quality, maintains high cleanliness and safety standards, and supports a smooth and efficient kitchen workflow.
Responsibilities
· Team Leadership
· Supervise and mentor BOH staff (line cooks, prep cooks, dishwashers, porters)
· Schedule shifts, manage labor, and support hiring and training efforts
· Promote teamwork, accountability, and a respectful kitchen culture
· Kitchen Operations
· Oversee food prep, line execution, and service quality
· Maintain prep lists, station organization, and daily checklists
· Ensure kitchen equipment is maintained and properly functioning
· Food Safety & Sanitation
· Enforce food safety and sanitation standards (HACCP, ServSafe)
· Conduct daily walk-throughs and maintain compliance with health regulations
· Ensure all BOH staff follow hygiene and cleanliness protocols
· Inventory & Cost Management
· Track and order inventory; receive and store deliveries
· Monitor food waste and control portioning to manage food cost
· Work with GM to hit labor and food cost targets
Qualifications
· Minimum 3+ years in a BOH leadership role (Kitchen Manager, Stock Controller, etc.)
· Proven team leadership and strong communication skills
· Solid knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen best practices
· Food safety certification (required or ability to obtain)
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lead under pressure
