About the Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper / Accounts Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Sage and handling end-to-end transaction processes, from invoice posting to payment allocation. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, processing payments, and providing excellent customer service through timely communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Purchase Invoices: Post purchase invoices to supplier accounts on Sage.
- Deposit Receipts: Create and send deposit payment receipts/pro-forma invoices to customers after payment is received.
- Sales Invoices: Generate and send invoices after final payment is received.
- Site Survey Commitment Payments:
- Record commitment payments on Excel and Sage.
- Set up new customer accounts in Sage.
- Allocate payments from the bank to customer accounts.
- Deposit Payments:
- Verify or create customer accounts in Sage.
- Allocate deposit payments to customer accounts.
- Final Balance Payments:
- Allocate payments from the bank to customer accounts.
- Generate final invoices and credit notes for survey commitments.
- Allocate all payments to invoices.
- Email invoices and warranty cards to customers.
- u-Value Certificates: Prepare and send u-value certificates, cover letters, and maintenance documentation.
- Payment Collection: Create payment links, send to customers, and follow up when necessary.
Requirements:
- Proven experience using Sage accounting software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with customer invoicing and payment allocation.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Preferred:
- Experience working with UK clients and accounting practices.
