OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION
To drive the successful execution of Clarins' brand strategy across retail, digital, and CRM platforms by leading integrated campaigns, managing omnichannel assets, and guiding the work of the CRM and Online Brand Specialists. The Brand Specialist ensures that all touchpoints reflect Clarins' premium positioning and align with both global brand direction and local market needs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Campaign Management & Brand Execution
- Lead the 360° rollout of product launches, seasonal activations, and hero product campaigns.
- Adapt and localize global campaign materials, messaging, and visuals for the South African market.
- Ensure consistent brand expression across all customer touchpoints: retail, digital, CRM, media, and influencer content.
- Build relationships with in store teams in each area and support them when requested.
- Implement regular update meetings or calls (coastal field employees) to assess needs.
- Build relationships with suppliers and retailers.
- Work with the Trade Marketing / Marketing manager to ensure that all visual elements are delivered timeously to stores on all launches, promotions, and events.
- Ensure in-store and online visual identity is fully aligned with Clarins' brand standards.
- Maintain consistency in imagery, tone, and execution across retail, digital, and online platforms.
- Review visual merchandising and digital asset implementation to deliver a cohesive premium brand experience.
- Review and execute an effective sampling and tester strategy at counter, aligned to promotional calendars and launch priorities.
- Monitor pricing across all channels, track market trends, and make strategic recommendations for adjustments to maintain competitiveness and brand value.
- 3-5 years of marketing experience in beauty, fashion, luxury, or premium FMCG sectors
- Strong background in brand and campaign management, with retail or trade marketing exposure
- Experience working with or managing CRM and digital marketing functions
- Solid understanding of ecommerce and omni-channel strategies
- Proven ability to manage budgets, timelines, and external agencies or suppliers
- Degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, or Brand Management
- Strong project and time management skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities
- Attention to detail with a refined, luxury brand aesthetic
- Ability to manage and mentor junior team members
- Comfortable working with data, reporting, and ROI evaluation
- Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and digital content tools (Meta platforms, etc.)
