Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in commercial short-term insurance
- Minimum 3 years’ Broker Consulting experience with a proven track record
- Required insurance qualifications
- Fit and Proper as per the FAIS Act including Class of Business training, full qualification and compliance with annual CPD requirements
- Own transportation
- Valid driver's license
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain broker relationships
- Identification, application, training and onboarding of new brokers
- Frequent review of the new business pipeline and the associated follow-up and tracking
- Manage the issuing of quotations
- Roll out of new platforms and associated processes
- Technical training of and ongoing product support to Brokers
- Frequent review and update of available training material
- Input and support around broker marketing collateral
- Support on annual broker due diligence
- Training and support of internal policy administration team
- Dealing with queries and providing information on a range of sales and service issues
- Liaising with internal departments on processing issues
- Building relationships with internal departments to ensure superior service is offered to clients
- Keeping up-to-date with competitor product and service offering and industry developments
- Participating in proactive sales and marketing initiative
- Monthly new business targets
- Broker activation rates
- Client satisfaction scores
- Quote-to-bind ratios
- Ongoing broker portfolio management
- Proficiency in using CRM systems, digital quoting platforms, and broker portals is essential
