We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Care Services Manager to lead our homecare services and ensure exceptional care delivery to our clients in their own homes. This is a pivotal leadership role where you'll oversee the strategic placement of qualified carers and nurses while maintaining the highest standards of care and client satisfaction. A key component of this role involves actively pursuing and securing contracts with major healthcare providers to grow our business.


Key Responsibilities


Care Management & Quality Assurance


  • Oversee the delivery of high-quality homecare services to clients across various care needs
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, policies, and procedures
  • Conduct regular quality assessments and implement improvement strategies
  • Manage client care plans and coordinate with healthcare professionals

Staff Placement & Coordination

  • Facilitate the strategic placement of carers and nurses into client homes for both short-term and long-term assignments
  • Match appropriate care staff to client needs, considering skills, experience, and compatibility
  • Coordinate scheduling and ensure adequate staffing coverage for 24-hour care requirements
  • Manage staff rotas and respond to urgent placement needs

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of care coordinators and administrative staff
  • Recruit, train, and develop homecare staff to maintain service excellence
  • Conduct performance reviews and implement professional development plans
  • Foster a positive, supportive work environment focused on client-centered care

Client Relations & Business Development

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and their families
  • Conduct initial assessments and develop personalized care packages
  • Handle client concerns and complaints with professionalism and empathy
  • Identify opportunities for service expansion and improvement
  • Actively pursue and secure contracts with major healthcare providers, medical schemes, and corporate clients
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with hospitals, clinics, and healthcare networks
  • Prepare proposals and presentations for potential major contracts
  • Negotiate terms and pricing for large-scale care service agreements

Operational Management

  • Manage division budgets and ensure cost-effective service delivery
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting systems
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service integration
  • Implement and monitor KPIs to track division performance

Essential Requirements


Experience & Qualifications

  • Management experience in homecare, healthcare, or social care sector
  • Proven track record in business development, sales, or contract negotiation (preferably in healthcare)
  • Thorough understanding of care regulations, standards, and best practices
  • Experience with care planning and assessment processes
  • Demonstrated success in securing major contracts or partnerships

Skills & Competencies

  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Business development and contract negotiation expertise
  • Problem-solving mindset with ability to make decisions under pressure
