The Central Planner is responsible for influencing and implementing the relevant brand’s merchandise strategy. They manage financial and strategic aspects of various products, including product planning, controlling open-to-buy, and reviewing figures. They also handle range assortments, replenishment, distribution strategy, and communication with stores and field teams. Additionally, they provide insights and recommendations for improving merchandise performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing RFO’s external DC particularly the system integration project as well as the current and future work flow.
- Managing pre season and in season store plans and identifying opportunities for stock turn improvements.
- Managing New & Revamp store viabilities and strategy as well as store profiling, monitoring opening stock on hand targets .
- Monitoring new and revamp stores with monthly feedback to merchants with opportunities
- Working alongside allocation team to execute allocation and assortment strategy incorporating Operations feedback.
- Updating store AIM plans and store attributes.
- All store incentives and weekly updates.
- Month end financial pack inclusive of all reports as well as weekly store performance reporting.
- To achieve the above through building constructive and mutually beneficial relationships with key functions within the business.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A relevant tertiary qualification.
- 5+ years’ proven merchandise distribution and planning experience – Central Planning experience is not a prerequisite.
- Product knowledge will be advantageous.
- Knowledge of Pyramid and PMM will be advantageous.
