Support the credit risk process by delivering comprehensive, high-quality risk assessments and data-driven strategies within the unsecured personal lending lifecycle. Ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements, driving sustainable portfolio performance and shared growth.
Job Description
Collections strategy management
- Deep understanding of the end-to-end collections strategy lifecycle within unsecured lending
- Develop and implement data-driven, industry-aligned forbearance and distressed debt solutions
- Strong grasp of key drivers of collections performance, impairments, and portfolio risk
- Maintain and enhance documented strategy and policy frameworks across the unsecured collections book
- Conduct robust credit risk reviews to ensure strategy effectiveness and compliance
- Identify gaps and proactively recommend improvements to collections strategies
- Use data insights to drive continuous enhancement of treatment paths and segmentation
- Embed credit risk best practices into all business-as-usual (BAU) processes
Credit risk reporting and analytics
- Own and manage BAU, ad-hoc, and automated reporting and analytics processes
- Deliver accurate and timely management information and insights within agreed SLAs
- Perform end-to-end data analysis, including sourcing, cleaning, validation, and consolidation of large datasets
- Leverage strong SAS (or equivalent) skills to identify data anomalies, trends, and actionable insights
Governance and stakeholder engagement
- Adhere to internal credit risk policies and all relevant regulatory requirements
- Support audit, governance, and control processes across the collections strategy lifecycle
- Stay informed on regulatory and legislative changes impacting collections and forbearance
- Ensure alignment with business unit policies and industry best practices
- Investigate and respond effectively to policy or process exceptions
- Present analytical findings and strategy proposals clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in BMI, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Commerce, or a related field (preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an analytical environment
- Experience in financial services, particularly in collections strategy, is advantageous
- Proficient in data analysis and processing using SAS, SQL, and Microsoft Office tools
- Strong understanding of collections, impairments, and credit risk management principles
Education
Bachelor Honours Degree: BMI - Business Management and Informatics (Required)
