Why Does This Role Matter ⚙️
This role is a critical part of our People & Client Experience team, providing support to both our clients and internal stakeholders. You will play a key role in managing HR, Legal, Finance, and Payroll-related inquiries from clients and their employees in South Africa. You will have the opportunity to make a direct impact on our mission to create equal career opportunities for global talent. You must have extensive experience in administrative and operational support, with a strong background in HR, payroll, and compliance within the South African market. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities 🔑
- Serve as a strategic partner to our clients, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of all HR, finance, legal, and payroll-related inquiries, both internally and externally.
- Coordinate key employee lifecycle processes - from post-onboarding to offboarding. Including contract verification, payroll and expense management, policy compliance, record maintenance, and collaboration with onboarding, finance, and legal teams.
- Ensure compliance with South African labor laws and regulatory requirements, proactively conducting research and maintaining compliance databases to support client operations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with our in-country partners.
- Develop and implement process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and accuracy across functions.
- Manage and maintain records through our Hubspot CRM and internal platform.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
What we're looking for 🔍
- Deep understanding of South African labor laws, compliance requirements, and industry best practices, including hands-on experience managing terminations and dispute resolution.
- Extensive experience in client support handling inquiries related to HR, payroll, or legal matters, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality customer service.
- Strong ability to manage complex inquiries and provide strategic problem-solving solutions for both internal and external stakeholders.
- You have experience in a startup or scaleup environment.
- You are completely fluent in English and added bonus points if you are in command of another language.
- Knowledge and experience in managing an HRIS system or CRM system such as Hubspot.
- You have excellent organisational and time-management skills as well as being an excellent communicator.
- Strong attention to detail, results-driven with a can-do attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
