3 month contract opportunity at a leading financial institution, hybrid role in Sandton
To support the execution of GIAs strategy and a newly developed operating model, we are seeking a seasoned interim Executive to lead the Digital Transformation Assurance portfolio, including Information Technology and Data.
This is a mission-critical role responsible for overseeing and managing the IT Audit function and driving strategic insights and industry best practices across high-impact assurance activities.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the Digital Transformation Assurance portfolio (IT, Cyber, and Data) and manage a high-performing audit team.
Ensure the audit plan is executed effectively and delivers actionable insights.
Lead and review complex auditsincluding GenAI, Cloud, and data infrastructureensuring they meet strategic goals.
Prepare high-level reports and presentations for the Chief Internal Auditor and Board Committees (especially Group IT Committee).
Act as a trusted advisor to senior and executive stakeholders, elevating outcomes with strategic and industry insight.
Expertise and Experience Required
10+ years in an executive role within IT Audit, Cybersecurity, and Data functions.
Deep understanding of banking or financial services, especially in fast-evolving environments.
Proven ability to lead teams, manage complex portfolios, and engage senior leadership and boards.
Demonstrated experience in delivering strategic value through assurance reviews, aligned with industry best practices.
Strong background in governance, risk, controls, and regulatory frameworks.
