Ba-Phalaborwa Golf Club, on behalf of Indalo Hotels and Leisure is looking for Irrigation technicians that will be responsible for the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of the golf course’s irrigation system.
This role ensures that turf and landscaped areas receive adequate and efficient water distribution to maintain optimal course conditions. The ideal candidates will have experience with irrigation systems, a strong technical background, and a keen eye for detail in troubleshooting and maintaining water management systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary Driving Duties
- Safely transport members and guests between designated locations, such as the clubhouse, parking lots, and golf course.
- Assist with loading and unloading golf bags, clubs, and other equipment.
- Provide a friendly and welcoming experience for all passengers.
- Monitor driving schedules and respond to pickup/drop-off requests as needed.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers during transport
- Assist with special events and tournaments by coordinating transportation needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the shuttle vehicle.
- Follow all traffic laws, club policies, and safety protocols.
- Perform basic maintenance checks on the vehicle and report any issues.
Secondary Golf Operations Duties
- Meet & Greet members and guests at bag drop; assist with handling and staging golf bags.
- Maintain organized staging areas, including carts, and rental clubs.
- Assist in the preparation and setup of the practice areas, and first tee.
- Clean and restock golf carts with scorecards, tees, towels, and water, as necessary.
- Support tournament and outing setups (signage, scorecards, tee gifts, etc.).
- Help maintain overall cleanliness and presentation of the golf course facilities, inc. golf concierge area, cart barn, caddie area.
- Communicate effectively with golf shop and outside services staff for seamless operations.
Minimum Experience
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in a customer service or transportation role is a plus.
- Knowledge of golf etiquette and club operations preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry golf bags and equipment.
- Friendly, professional demeanour with excellent communication skills.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
