Exciting News! Mangwanani North Coast based at Umhlanga Sands is looking for a well experienced Duty Manager. As a Spa Duty Manager you will oversees the day-to-day operations of the spa, ensuring smooth functioning, managing staff, addressing guest needs, and maintaining high standards of service and cleanliness. This includes managing facility schedules, coordinating staff duties and maintaining inventory levels.
- Provides strong leadership to the team to execute spa, operational and human resources functions in the spa to ensure customer satisfaction, maximum productivity and profitability, and compliance with company procedures.
- Manage the spa and its employees to ensure all spa sales goals are met or exceeded.
- Identify ways to drive sales generation and ensure action is taken to achieve goals.
- Support, model, and enhance the seamless customer service focus by creating an environment that is friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and quick for customers and co-workers.
- Ensure Brand Standards and Operating Standards meet or exceed expectations to support brand consistency.
- Ensure spa presentation standards are achieved and maintained.
- Create and maintain spa team relationships.
- Review and assess the performance of staff.
- Address and document unsatisfactory performance and policy violations of staff through instigating disciplinary action and performance counselling.
- Ensure proper scheduling of staff and maintain cooperation and teamwork in the spa, placing a high emphasis on customer service and satisfaction.
- Open and close the spa in an effective manner.
- Regular attendance and full-time commitment are essential functions of the job.
- Perform additional managerial duties as necessary.
Required Knowledge and Abilities
- Excellent communication, strong time management, versatility and conflict resolution are crucial skills for duty managers to have.
- Extremely detail-oriented and accurate while handling high volume at a fast-pace
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and an ability to work in challenging environments
- Works well within a team and always goes 'above and beyond'
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- Handles situations in the best interest of both client and company
- Proficient using the Spa Guru, email and Microsoft Word and Excel
- Minimum 2 year of Customer Service experience
- Matric
- Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with customers and spa personnel.
- Excellent with Word & Excel.
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, public holidays.
