RCL Foods Beverages Team is on the hunt for a Temp Forklift Driver . The role will be based in Pretoria West and report to the Stores Supervisor.
The key purpose of this role is to ensure that all raw materials and packaging materials are received by the packing lines on time and in full to drive efficiencies on the production line, while keeping track of and updating the stores team of stock quantities issued and returned to Stores.
Duties & Responsibilities
Material Handling
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and packaging to production lines to avoid delays.
- Off-loading of packaing materials and raw material safely and efficiently.
Inventory Management
- Assist with stock rotation and inventory control guided by the SSR book.
- Inspect received materials and completed applicable checklists.
- Verify quantity of pallets and ensure pallets collected are captured before stacking for production usage.
Safety Compliance
- Operate forklifts in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures and Company Policies.
- Conduct daily equipment checks and report any faults or maintenance needs.
Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of material movements.
- Complete checklists and logs for equipment usage and inspections.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum matric and/or NQF 4 Equivalent
- Valid Forklift Counterbalance Licence
Work Experience
- 2 years operating a Forklift in a operations/warehouse/stores environment
- Basic Computer literacy
Knowledge
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Quick problem-solving skills
- High level of honesty and integrity
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work shifts, overtime and public holidays as per operational requirements
- Punctuality and attendance reliability
- Ability to work under pressure
- Knowledge of SAFETY rules and HACCP principles
