In this role you will have the opportunity to ensure legal compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHS ACT, ACT 85 OF 1993) as a GMR 2.1 appointee,
while driving continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental performance across the site.
This role combines statutory accountability with proactive HSE leadership to embed a strong safety culture and operational excellence.
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- National Diploma or Bachelor in Technology or BSc Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Government Certificate of Competency (GCC) – Factories (advantageous or required depending on site).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proven experience in HSE management and legal compliance.
- Strong knowledge of OHS Act, GMR, and relevant SANS standards.
