As the Group Compliance Officer, you’ll be the driving force behind our compliance strategy—ensuring we meet national and international regulatory standards. You’ll work closely with executive leadership, provide legal advisory support, and embed compliance into our operations and ESG initiatives.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Leading and promoting a strong compliance culture throughout the organisation
- Driving the compliance strategy and overseeing its implementation
- Advising executive and senior management on compliance matters
- Acting as a business enabler by offering practical, risk-aware solutions
- Drafting and updating internal policies and procedures in line with regulatory and business needs
- Staying current with legal and regulatory developments and adjusting policies accordingly
- Monitoring and ensuring the implementation of compliance controls across the Group
- Supporting ESG governance by contributing compliance insights and ethical narratives
- Coordinating internal compliance reviews and addressing identified risks
- Reporting regularly to the Group Legal Director and relevant committees
- Providing legal research and advisory support on acquisitions, new markets, and services
- Collaborating with Internal Audit to resolve compliance issues
- Managing regulatory interactions, including inspections, applications, and investigations
- Ensuring full legal and regulatory compliance across all business areas
- Designing and delivering Group-wide compliance training and awareness programmes
- Independently investigating and resolving compliance-related concerns

Qualifications
- LLB or Compliance Officer qualification
- 5–10 years’ experience in compliance, legal, or governance roles
- Strong knowledge of OHSA, POPIA, PAIA, PRECCA, King IV, and JSE Listings Requirements
- Experience in multi-jurisdictional compliance, especially in African markets
- Skilled in legal drafting, contract vetting, and risk clause negotiation
- Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills
