Lesaka Technologies is seeking a Group Tech Compliance Lead to strengthen technology governance and compliance across the business. This skilled-level role will involve leading IT compliance initiatives, supporting audits, and ensuring systems remain secure, compliant, and resilient. The successful candidate can be based in Johannesburg or Cape Town.
We’re looking for a Group Tech Compliance Lead to champion IT compliance across the business, partner with auditors and stakeholders, and ensure our systems remain secure, compliant, and resilient.
What you’ll do:
Lead and manage technology audit engagements (PCI, SOX-ITGC).
Work with internal and external auditors to streamline walkthroughs, testing, and evidence gathering.
Track, manage, and ensure timely remediation of audit findings.
Assess and improve technology controls, cybersecurity measures, and data protection practices.
Develop compliance dashboards, audit status reports, and risk metrics for senior leadership.
Keep policies and procedures updated, effective, and embedded across IT operations.
Guide implementation of IT controls (logical access, change management, data protection).
Stay ahead of evolving regulations and industry standards.
Collaborate with colleagues in the Group CISO office and across Lesaka companies.
What we’re looking for:
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
5+ years’ experience in IT compliance, IT audit, or a related field.
Professional certifications (CRISC or CISA) preferred.
Strong knowledge of SOX, PCI-DSS, POPIA, and audit methodologies.
Experience interpreting technical documentation (IT architecture, network diagrams, configurations).
Familiarity with cloud technologies, cybersecurity frameworks (ISO, NIST, CIS).
Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
