St Cyprian’s School for Girls in Cape Town seeks to appoint full-time, enthusiastic, and innovative teachers in the High School from January 2026 in the following subjects:
- Mathematics
- Geography
- History
These positions require inspirational teachers who will have demonstrated skills and experience in teaching the IEB curriculum.

Successful candidates will hold an accepted content academic degree, a recognised professional teaching qualification, current SACE registration, and the ability/willingness to offer an extra-curricular activity. Minimum Requirements

A relevant academic degree in Mathematics, Geography, or History.
A recognised professional teaching qualification
Current SACE registration (proof required).
Demonstrated experience teaching the IEB curriculum at the high school level.
A proven ability to:

Create a happy and collaborative learning environment.
Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents.
A commitment to personal and professional growth.
Willingness and ability to participate in extra-curricular activities.
A passion for transformation and inclusive education.

Duties and Responsibilities

Deliver engaging subject-specific lessons aligned with the IEB curriculum.
Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where students are encouraged to think critically and creatively.
Demonstrate subject mastery and innovative teaching methodologies that cater to diverse learning styles.
Assess and monitor student progress through various forms of formative and summative assessment.
Maintain up-to-date records and provide regular, constructive feedback to students and parents.
Participate actively in school life, including school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
Engage in pastoral care and promote student well-being.
Contribute to the school’s transformation journey, particularly in creating a more inclusive and equitable learning space.
Offer and participate in extra-curricular activities, enriching students' learning beyond the classroom.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues within departments and across disciplines.
