We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and passionate Housekeeping Supervisor to join our dedicated team.
Position Summary
As Housekeeping Supervisor, you will support the Management team in overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring that all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff
- Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and standards are met
- Assist with scheduling, training, and performance management of housekeeping team
- Maintain inventory and ensure proper use of cleaning materials and equipment
- Respond promptly to guest requests and ensure guest satisfaction
- Uphold and implement health and safety regulations and company standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in housekeeping, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role (hotel experience preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lead, train, and motivate a team
- Good communication skills and a guest-first attitude
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Experience with hotel management or property management systems (Opera - advantageous)
- Relocation at own costs, preferably reside in Paarl, Stellenbosch or Franschhoek
