We are now looking for an experienced HR Practitioner to support our workforce and manage employee relations with confidence and care.
Job Summary
The HR Practitioner will be responsible for providing expert HR support across multiple sites, particularly in areas related to employee relations, disciplinary processes, and CCMA case management. This role requires someone who is hands-on, understands the unique challenges of the cleaning industry, and is experienced in handling labour-related matters with a practical and compliant approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full employee relations function across various cleaning sites.
- Conduct and chair disciplinary hearings and counselling sessions in accordance with labour law.
- Represent the company at the CCMA, including preparation and attendance at conciliations and arbitrations.
- Provide guidance to site managers and supervisors on HR policies, procedures, and labour legislation.
- Investigate grievances and misconduct cases promptly and fairly.
- Keep accurate records of all disciplinary and CCMA cases.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and staff inductions when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with BCEA, LRA, and sectoral determinations relevant to the cleaning industry.
Minimum Requirements
- National Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management or Labour Relations.
- At least 3 years’ experience in an HR role, preferably within the cleaning, security, or facilities management industries.
- Proven experience in chairing disciplinary hearings and handling CCMA cases.
- Solid knowledge of South African labour legislation.
- Ability to manage a high-volume, site-based workforce.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and travel between sites when required.
- Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport.
