Gomze Development Consultancy is seeking a detail-orientated and motivated Junior Bookkeeper to join our finance team.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- Basic Understanding pf bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in MS Excel; experience with accounting software like QuickBooks, Xero or Sage is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good Communication and time management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately input day-to-day financial transactions (sales, purchases, receipts, and payments).
- Maintain general ledgers and other accounting records.
- Reconcile bank statements with company records.
- Identify and correct discrepancies.
- Manage incoming invoices and outgoing bills.
- Ensure timely payment of bills and follow up on outstanding customer invoices.
- Calculate employee hours and process payroll.
- Handle tax deductions, benefits, and bonuses.
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Summarize financial status and present reports to management or accountants.
- Organize and securely store financial documents for auditing or tax purposes.
- Ensure compliance with local and national financial regulations.
- Provide financial data to help in creating and monitoring budgets.
- Work with external accountants for audits, tax preparation, and end-of-year reporting.
- Operate tools like QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar software for bookkeeping tasks.
- Prepare or assist with VAT, GST, or sales tax submissions.
- Ensure all taxes are filed accurately and on time.
Experience:
- 2 – 3 years’ experience in bookkeeping.
- Payroll Software experience.
