Junior DTP Operator required in Brackenfell, Cape Town.

Are you looking to kick-start your design career as a DTP Operator? Our client is seeking a detail-focused DTP Operator to join their studio in Brackenfell. You will be responsible for preparing, adapting and finalising artwork for both print and digital output.

Requirements:

• Gr 12, and 2 – 4 years experience in a junior layout/DTP/studio or repro role
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Mac OS
• Strong attention to layout accuracy and formatting
• Understanding of production artwork setup (bleed, colour mode, image resolution)
• Exposure to print-ready artwork and basic knowledge of print processes
• Familiarity with basic print material types (POSM, packaging, signage) is a plus
• Ability to follow instructions and work within brand parameters
• Reliable, organised and responsive under tight timelines
• Willingness to learn and develop technical skillset

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate print-ready files (e.g., setting bleed, correct resolution, file clean-up)
• Adapt approved master artwork to various formats and sizes across campaigns
• Apply and update content (logos, copy, images) following brand CI guidelines
• Support rollout of point-of-sale material, packaging and digital artwork
• Ensure all file deliveries follow printer or supplier specifications
• Maintain organised file structures and version control
• Liaise with designers and production staff as needed for job completion
