Van Loveren Vineyards is seeking a Tasting Room Assistant at our Landskroon Tasting Room, Suid-agter Paarl Road. The successful candidate must have a positive attitude, is energetic, passionate about wine and have the professionality to work with clients and create exceptional experiences for our visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and upselling of wines and merchandise to customers;
- Hosting, preparing and presenting the tastings to clients;
- Assist with the execution of events and special functions in the Tasting Room;
- Daily cash ups;
- Wine sales and invoicing;
- Assisting with responding to emails, bookings and telephone queries;
- Assisting with stock taking in the Tasting Room;
- General admin duties in the Tasting Room;
- General cleaning of Tasting room and amenities.
Minimum Qualifications and Skills requirements:
- Grade 12 qualification;
- Formal wine education will be advantageous;
- Must be able to speak Afrikaans and English;
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position and in the wine industry;
- Ability to work extra hours, including weekends and public holidays;
- Excellent communication & Interpersonal skills – with guests, management, and colleagues;
- Willing to work after hours and weekends;
- Well-presented, Reliable and dependable;
- Passionate about the wine industry, professional and client orientated;
- Effective and dedicated team player
