Job Description
This programme is your first step into the world of banking. You’ll gain the knowledge and hands-on experience needed to help clients across Personal, Prestige, and Private Banking. Through structured learning and practical training, you’ll learn how to assist with everyday banking needs from opening accounts and retrieving statements to helping with debit order queries. You’ll also develop the skills to quickly understand and solve client needs, while following the right processes, product guidelines, and important banking regulations like FAIS. By the end of the programme, you’ll be ready to deliver professional, friendly, and reliable service that makes a real difference to our clients.
Kick-start your career in banking with one of South Africa’s leading financial institutions. This learnership is designed for graduates with an undergraduate degree and gives you real, hands-on experience in a banking environment.
You’ll gain practical exposure to the full value chain of a Universal Banker from building strong sales and service skills, to analysing and processing information accurately. You’ll learn how to understand customer needs and provide the right financial solutions, while building lasting client relationships. You’ll also develop professional communication skills, including telephone and email etiquette, and learn how to handle inquiries efficiently to deliver consistently high standards of service.
Alongside this workplace experience, you’ll complete an occupational qualification in Banking, giving you FAIS accreditation and a solid understanding of the financial and regulatory framework. This programme equips you with the technical knowledge, customer service skills, and professional behaviours needed to thrive in the banking sector and open doors to exciting future opportunities.
