Description
We are looking for a manager with at least 2 years of UK bookkeeping and VAT experience. You will join our team in Johannesburg and work closely with our UK-based colleagues and clients.
The role will be fully office-based for the first three months to support a smooth onboarding process, with the option to transition to a hybrid working arrangement thereafter.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of clients and junior team members
- Bookkeeping
- Preparation of Management Accounts
- Financial Reporting
- UK VAT Returns
- Client Portfolio Management
- Month-end and Year-end Processes
- Reconciliation of Accounts (Bank, Supplier, Customer)
- Use of Accounting Software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
- An understanding of UK accounting standards and tax regulations

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Professional services experience required
- SAIPA/ACCA qualified with a demonstrable track record of accounts experience in an accountancy practice
- Excellent technical knowledge of accounting standards, corporation tax and VAT
- Ability to perform to a high technical and professional standard
- Minimum 2 years of UK experience
