We are seeking an Operational Buyer (Consumables Supply Chain) to join our Screening team in factory Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for administrating production material availability in CNS Supply Chain.

This position is mainly located in Germiston, Gauteng.
TEAM YOU BELONG TO
You will join the Consumables Supply Chain team who are passionate about managing a continuous improvement program regarding external suppliers and benchmarking total cost and performance.
We work closely with internal and external stakeholders, such as suppliers to ensure the supply and availability of finished goods are at optimal prices and meet quality requirements in order to maximize cost competitiveness and meet market demand.
Our team culture is all about managing global commercial and legal compliance to Metso standards, policies and procedures.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Implementation and administration of material purchasing
Managing ordering, sourcing and inventory activities through SAP PS (Project System).
Ensuring on-time delivery of input material for production
Optimal amount of input sources/material
Reporting to company management and Metso group
Finding savings in all areas of purchasing
Logistics from vendors to factory
Monitoring OTD and Quality performance of the vendors
WHO YOU ARE
Matric (Grade 12)
Administrative or technical high school
At least 2 years of relevant work experience in production and material supply area.
Elementary analytical skills and bias for action and detail-oriented behaviours are required.
Ability to collect data & information to make analysis & recommendations.
Awareness of optimizing and costs and performance results is welcomed.
Motivated individual with the ability to work under stress and meet the deadlines.
Communication, co-operation, interpersonal and presentation skills.
SAP knowledge is advantage.
English language skills B1 at least.
Travelling not required on regular bases
