Are you passionate about nourishing little minds and growing bodies? Our vibrant preschool is seeking a dedicated and imaginative Preschool Cook to join our team and create wholesome, child-friendly meals that support early development and delight young taste buds.
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare daily meals and snacks for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers, tailored to their developmental needs.
- Ensure strict hygiene and food safety standards are upheld at all times.
- Minimize choking hazards through thoughtful preparation and age-appropriate serving techniques.
- Collaborate with staff to accommodate allergies, dietary restrictions, and cultural preferences.
- Plan menus that are nutritious, balanced, and exciting—bringing your own creative ideas to the table!
- Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and comply with all health regulations.
- Engage with children during mealtimes to promote positive eating habits and food exploration.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in cooking for young children, preferably in a preschool or childcare setting.
- Sound knowledge of nutrition for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children.
- Certification in food handling and hygiene (or willingness to obtain).
- Understanding of choking hazards and safe food preparation techniques.
- Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and adapt to changing needs.
- Warm, caring attitude and a genuine love for children.
- Creativity in menu planning and presentation—your ideas are welcome and encouraged!
Bonus Skills:
- Experience with meal planning software or budgeting.
- Familiarity with vegetarian, vegan, or allergy-friendly cooking.
- Basic understanding of child development and how nutrition supports learning and growth.
