Purpose of the position
The radiographer in the PWUD programme will provide a high standard of radiographic chest x-ray imaging including the use of Computer Aided Detection (CAD) systems whilst ensuring that patients receive high quality care. Deliver a high standard of service to relevant stakeholders and to a diversity of patient presentations. Communicate effectively with community and facility-based teams to ensure delivery of high-quality service and linkage to appropriate services.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification in Radiography from College or university
- Current Registration with HPCSA
- Must Have a BHF registration to apply for the registration of the DCXR mobile.
- Minimum of three years’ experience as a Radiographer
- Experience in working with key populations, particularly PWUD beneficial
- Previous experience using CAD would be advantageous
- Private Practice Number will be an added advantage
- Fluent in English and isiXhosa
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to conduct fieldwork

- Mobile digital chest x-ray screening for TB case finding
- Referrals of clients with high CAD4TB score for presumptive TB testing
