We are a reputable Air Conditioning Company based in Montague Gardens, currently seeking a dedicated Receptionist / Office Administrator to take charge of our front-of-house function and provide essential support to our administrative operations.
Role Overview:
As a Receptionist / Office Administrator, you will play a key role in managing our front-of-house operations while providing essential administrative support across various departments. This is a dynamic and fast-paced role that requires professionalism, organisation and strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Operating and managing the switchboard
- Screening and transferring calls to the correct departments
- Taking and distributing accurate messages
- Coordinating deliveries and collections
- Monitoring and ordering stationery and office supplies
- Updating and circulating internal extension lists
- Handling email, phone, and basic IT queries as first point of contact
- Booking printer services and ordering consumables
- Maintaining and updating internal spreadsheets and registers
- Booking staff medical appointments and recording records
- Completing credit application forms
- Supporting the maintenance of Health & Safety files
- Managing employee cellphone contracts
- Booking company vehicles for servicing or repairs
- Managing vehicle insurance claims and fines
- Performing general administrative duties as needed
Requirements:
- Matric / Senior Certificate
- At least 1 year of experience in a receptionist or similar administrative role
- Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans (spoken and written)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
