Research Assistant (6 month contract)

Qualifications and Experience:

• An LLB, Admitted Attorney, with 1 - 2 years post articles experience and exposure in a legal environment.
• Honours degree in Economics.
• A master’s degree or applicants studying towards a Master’s Degree will be advantageous.
• Minimum of six (6) months’ work experience in the area of research, competition law or economics.
• Knowledge and understanding of the purpose and objectives of the Competition Act, the Competition Commission and the South African economy is highly recommended.
• Training and experience in Industrial Organization and/or International Trade is considered to be advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills are essential.
• Assist with post inquiry work
• conduct research, analysis of information and data provided, and prepare inputs for the finalization of the MDPMI report
• Provide economic analysis where necessary.
