The Risk Consultant is at the forefront of positioning Optix as the preferred partner in road, fleet & driver safety solutions. This is a sales and customer success management role, where relationship-building, strategic thinking, and professional representation of Optix are critical to success. The incumbent will proactively engage prospective clients, identify and assess threats to operational stability, and present customized Optix solutions that avoid, reduce, or transfer risk — all while driving client growth, retention, and long-term satisfaction.
Success in this role improves safeguarding of our customers’ fleets and drivers, their assets and resources, and supports the overall business growth of Optix.
The Risk Consultant owns new relationships and is responsible for handling the earliest and arguably most sensitive touchpoint in the sales process, pre-sales, and sales, from researching and identifying new opportunities, to engaging and consulting prospects with a specific focus on nurturing.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
- Diploma in Marketing or Transport & Logistics
- Experience with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce
- Demonstrated ability in client growth and retention strategy
Duties & Responsibilities
- Demonstrate strong technical selling skills and product knowledge of Optix offerings.
- Deliver effective proposals that identify client problems and present tailored solutions.
- Fully understand and apply pricing structures and proposal models.
- Manage post-sale client relationships by tracking, analyzing, and optimizing potential.
- Provide client training on how to use Optix systems and services.
- Create and execute annual business plans aligned with sales targets.
- Engage in meaningful business conversations with owners and decision-makers.
- Maximize sales opportunities to grow market share.
- Offer consultative selling and tailored recommendations to clients based on risk needs.
- Develop leads through referrals, canvassing, direct outreach, and networking.
- Support marketing execution and company campaigns as required.
- Provide expert advice on risk mitigation aligned to client-specific challenges.
