The Sales Consultant will serve as the face and voice of the Genessi brand within the Home Tech Sleep store at Canal Walk, Cape Town. This role goes beyond selling mattresses, it is about embodying the Genessi philosophy of intentional living, wellness, and refined comfort. The consultant will guide customers through an elevated purchasing journey, offering product expertise, lifestyle insights, and a calm, authentic presence. Success in this role means building trust, creating meaningful connections, and ensuring every interaction reflects the brand’s values.
Minimum Requirements

Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric Certificate.
- 1–3 years of experience in retail sales, preferably in a premium or luxury environment.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Preferred (Advantageous):
- Experience in luxury retail, interiors, wellness, or design-related industries.
- Knowledge or interest in sleep science, sustainability, or craftsmanship.
- Diploma or higher qualification in sales, marketing, retail, or a related field.
Core Competencies:
- Elegant and confident communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to build rapport and trust with diverse clientele.
- Strong customer service orientation with a focus on relationship-building rather than hard selling.
- Emotional maturity, personal resilience, and self-motivation.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Represent the Genessi brand in-store with professionalism, elegance, and product expertise.
- Engage customers in meaningful conversations, guiding them to make informed decisions that align with their lifestyle and comfort needs.
- Maintain deep knowledge of the Genessi product range, brand philosophy, and unique selling points.
- Meet and exceed monthly sales targets, earning commission on performance.
- Ensure the store’s visual presentation aligns with brand standards, including merchandising and cleanliness.
- Accurately process sales transactions, including cash and credit sales, in accordance with company policy.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, encouraging repeat visits and referrals.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and evolving customer preferences.
- Collaborate with store and regional teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- Train Existing sales people in the HTC store to become Genessi Sales Experts.
