The Security Controller, Reception and Access Officer (SCRA) will work under the Security management of Control Risks (CR). Duties including monitoring the internal CCTV, dealing with anything that looks out of place, ensuring Bloodhound System is always operational and charged. Responsible for vehicle key control and vehicle daily inspections. Safeguarding and security of assets, personnel, customers, tenants, visitors, and other people and property on our grounds.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Perform Control Room daily operations with high integrity and efficiency
- Monitor CCTV during the shift and report any unusual activity to Security Manager (SM)
- Respond promptly to the radio checks, made by the CR personnel and keep accurate records of all communication. Also prepare Radio Checks Reports
- Monitor and manage Vehicle inspection sheets and keys
- Inform SM of any Security related incident. Instigate communication Tree were directed to do so
- Be visible and observant at all times, greeting staff, guests, and vendors in a courteous and attentive manner
- Maintain the company’s reputation with professionalism and legal compliance
- Collaborate with other security officers for effective protection and coverage
- Patrol property on foot, securing personnel, assets, buildings, Control and monitor internal CCTV equipment, and perform required equipment inspections
- Guard access points, permitting or refusing entry, restraining trespassers, and direct heavy traffic during start and end of business hours
- Monitors building access point of entry
- Serve as the primary security access point
- Answer alarms and investigate disturbances
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of premises
- Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences
- Call Armed Response or police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons
- Provide on-site support for Security Management initiatives that ensure the integrity of on-site and remote personnel
- Performs administrative and security lobby operation duties in support of client and SM
- Assist with the management of the access control system, access control card-holder records, CCTV management, and the key management systems
- Conduct walking audits associated with general safety & security procedures, physical safety & security systems, keys and compliance
- Work responsively and cooperatively with onsite security and safety management
Requirements
- Interpersonal Skills – Patience, listening, and communicating with a confident but friendly attitude are all people skills a security receptionist must tap into while assisting visitors. Also maintain cordial relationship with all staff, Senior Management, clients and visitors efficiently and effectively
- Physical Requirements – In establishments where they act much like guards, security receptionists should be capable of restraining someone
- Communication Skills - Excellent and effective oral and written communication skills in English language, including telephone communication and with internal and external parties
- Memorization – When you know the names and routines of those who work in the facility or frequently come by spotting intruders or unusual activity is easier
- Multitasking – Balancing both security responsibilities and receptionist tasks requires staying on top of things and prioritizing
- Attention to Detail – Security receptionists have a keen eye for what's transpiring in the building, including visitors, safety violations, and security breaches
