Job Description
This role is responsible for the strategy, implementation, and ongoing management of the organisation’s ERP systems to optimize business processes, enhance operational efficiency, and provide insights for decision-making. The Seniorr Specialist Enterprise App Platform will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure ERP solutions align with business goals and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Assess business needs and determine ERP solutions that best fit those needs.
- Lead ERP implementation projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Collaborate with various departments (finance, HR, supply chain, etc.) to understand their requirements and ensure the ERP system supports their processes.
- Designing and architecting SAP BTP solutions based on business requirements.
- Overseeing the integration of SAP BTP with other on-premise or cloud-based systems using various integration patterns and tools
- Guiding development teams in building applications on the SAP BTP, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and address potential issues within the SAP system.
- Oversee the configuration, customization, and integration of ERP systems to meet business requirements.
- Continuously evaluate and optimize ERP processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of data within the ERP system.
- Develop reporting and analytics capabilities to provide insights that support decision-making.
- Develop training programs and materials to ensure users understand how to effectively utilize the ERP system.
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshoot issues related to the ERP system.
- Manage relationships with ERP vendors and service providers, including contract negotiations and performance evaluations.
- Stay updated on ERP industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Drive change management initiatives to ensure smooth adoption of ERP solutions across the organization.
- Ensure that ERP systems comply with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
- Implement security measures to protect sensitive business data.
Qualifications
An undergraduate qualification (Bachelors degree/Diploma or equivalent) in relevant IM Discipline
It would be advantageous to have a postgraduate qualification in the related IM discipline OR a proven track record of extensive practical experience in a role and context of similar complexity.
Certifications
- Valid EB/Code 08 driver’s licence
- Registration with professional bodies (Desirable)
Experience
- 5 – 7 years working experience in a similar role
Technical Knowledge
- Experience in ERP systems implementation and management.
- Proven experience in project management, preferably with ERP projects.
- Advanced knowledge of ERP software, including configuration, customization, and optimization.
- Deep understanding of SAP BTP components like APIs, data services, workflow management, and security configurations to optimize application functionality.
- Expertise in ABAP development or other relevant programming languages.
- Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and principles
- Experience with integration technologies like APIs, middleware, and data mapping
- Proficiency in managing and maintaining the ERP system's underlying databases, including data modelling, SQL querying, and data integrity.
- Ability to oversee the integration of the ERP system with other applications, ensuring smooth data flow and seamless user experience.
- Expertise in customizing ERP workflows, forms, and reports to align with the organization's processes. Ability to lead the development of custom functionalities when necessary.
- Advanced understanding of the IT infrastructure required to support the ERP system, including networking, servers, and security protocols. Ensuring the ERP system's optimal performance and availability
