As part of our expansion into short-term rentals, we are seeking a detail-oriented Short Stay & Booking Manager: Open to Candidates Based in South Africa (Fully Remote) from South Africa to help us deliver an outstanding guest experience across platforms like Airbnb, Booking.com, and others.
Job Overview
Short Stay & Booking Manager: Open to Candidates Based in South Africa (Fully Remote) will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our short-term rental units. The ideal candidate will be experienced in short-term rental operations, highly organized, and comfortable working remotely. This role requires someone who can communicate effectively with guests, coordinate with cleaning and maintenance teams, and utilize property management software like Hostify.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of short-term rental properties across multiple platforms (e.g. Airbnb, Booking.com)
- Use Hostify or similar systems to synchronize calendars, pricing, and listings
- Coordinate and supervise cleaning staff, maintenance teams, and third-party service providers
- Ensure guest communications are timely, professional, and aligned with company standards
- Oversee the guest experience from inquiry to checkout, resolving issues quickly and professionally
- Maintain listing quality (descriptions, photos, pricing updates) to maximize occupancy and revenue
- Monitor and respond to guest reviews, applying feedback to improve operations
- Prepare occupancy reports and performance summaries for internal review
- Ensure all properties meet health, safety, and cleanliness standards
Skills and Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience managing short-term rentals or similar guest-facing roles
- Ability to work majority European business hours (GMT+1)
- Strong knowledge of Airbnb, Booking.com
- Experience with Hostify or other property/channel management tools
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to coordinate and manage remote teams (cleaners, maintenance, etc.)
- High attention to detail and guest satisfaction
- Ability to work independently with a strong sense of ownership
- Fluent in English
