Responsibilities:
Production Coordination:
- Plan and oversee production activities to meet weekly and monthly targets.
- Supervise line operations, manage startups, shutdowns, and changeovers, and coordinate with other departments for smooth workflow.
Machine and Maintenance Oversight:
- Perform technical machine adjustments and coordinate maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Support preventative maintenance with Engineering.
Quality and Food Safety Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to GMP, BRC, HACCP, ISO 22000, and TGA standards.
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and enforce PPE usage and SOPs. Prepare for audits and uphold high quality and housekeeping standards.
Team Leadership and Performance:
- Motivate and manage staff through effective communication, training, performance management, and adequate staffing.
- Complete HR admin tasks and performance reviews on time.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Submit timely and accurate reports (e.g., production, yield, OEE) and act on deviations.
- Conduct investigations and update SOPs as needed.
Health & Safety:
- Ensure compliance with OHS Act and company safety protocols.
- Confirm all safety devices are operational, and procedures are followed.
Requirements:
•Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent. •Ops Management qualification advantageous.•National Diploma in Engineering: Industrial / Mechanical / Electrical•Post-basic Pharmacist assistant qualification advantageous..•3 years production experience in a FMCG environment.•Knowledge of GMP, HACCP and health and safety.•Previous experience in managing staff.•Production documentation.
