Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Structural Design Draughtsman at Palian Manufacturing Pty Ltd, located in the City of Johannesburg. The Structural Design Draughtsman will be responsible for creating technical drawings and engineering drawings. They will also be responsible for using computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed drawings and plans for manufacturing and construction projects. The role requires close collaboration with engineers, architects, and other team members to ensure that designs meet the required specifications and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conceptualization of warehouse layouts on brief from the sales representatives.
· Preliminary Structure Specifications for Quotations.
· Liaising with the Engineer to finalize structure specifications before execution.
· Occasional site visits to take final site measurements.
· Designing the structural components for but not limited to Structural Mezzanine Floors & Structural Cantilevers.
· Including Bill of Materials but not limited to Plate Data, Raw Material Cut Lengths, Fixings, Timber Flooring, Handrailing & Staircases.
· Deliver full production and inhalation drawing for final projects.
· Assisting the representatives with their quotes.
· Assisting installation teams.
· Communicate with customers when requested.
· General Office and Technical Assistance.
· Adhere fully to all company structures, governance and procedures, such as ISO9001, Health and Safety and all other relevant and applicable industry standards.
Qualification and Skills
· AutoCAD. (Mandatory)
· Inventor Professional. (Mandatory)
· Advanced Steel. (Mandatory)
· Revit. (Will be beneficial)
· Robot Structural Analysis. (Will be beneficial)
· Building Integrated Management. (Will be beneficial)
· Microsoft Excel. (Mandatory)
