Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) Specialist
Job Purpose:
To support the organization in managing and enhancing relationships with suppliers to ensure performance, compliance, and value delivery across the supply chain. This as-needed role is ideal for a consultant with strong experience in supplier management and procurement practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain effective supplier relationship management strategies and frameworks.
- Build and maintain professional, constructive relationships with key suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance against agreed service levels and manage any deviations or issues.
- Facilitate supplier meetings, performance reviews, and improvement planning processes.
- Assist with the development of supplier scorecards and reporting tools.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure supplier alignment with business and operational requirements.
- Identify and mitigate supplier risks, and support initiatives to enhance supplier capability and performance.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of supplier engagements, issues, and resolutions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- NQF Level 7 qualification in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Commerce, or a related field.
Minimum Experience and Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Supplier Management, Procurement, or Supply Chain Operations.
- Demonstrated track record of managing supplier relationships effectively.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Understanding of supply chain and procurement principles, including performance management and compliance.
- Proficiency in using supplier management tools and Microsoft Office suite.
